This explains what data we collect from you and how it is used.
If you are browsing the website, automatic collection of information such as browser type, language, and similar data forms the basis of analytics for the website. Analytics help us understand website visitors’ areas of interest, geographic breadth, how they found the website, and other general analytical information. Other websites do this as well.
If you opt in to receive my newsletter, your name, email address, and country (if provided) are collected. These are transmitted and stored by a third party servicer which facilitates the distribution of my newsletter. That email servicer is GDPR* compliant. You can opt out of receiving future newsletters on the body of the newsletter itself.
If you opt to post a comment on a blog, you’ll be asked to leave your name and email address.
Although we safeguard personal data, as does our third party servicer, no data on the web is immune from malicious attack or compromise; as such, those providing the above-referenced information should understand that their transmission of it is always at their own risk.
*GDPR = General Data Protection Regulation of the EU.
